Review:

I like books, and I like a wide variety of characters and factors when I read. There are certain factors that will grab me every time, and Savior has all of them. An ass-kicking hero with a certifiably Tragic Past™?  Check. A cast of characters that doesn’t all look the same?  Check. Fire?  Check. Violence?  Check.

I guess the five-martini rating was a given.

In all seriousness, though, Savior took a bunch of heavy topics, handled them beautifully, and threw in a cast of characters that made my old farmhouse completely disappear. When I read romance I usually have a favorite, but I actually did love both Mace and Rob equally. I loved the brothers too, especially Ivo.

And when (insert spoilery thing here) happened, I legitimately wanted to go to San Francisco to take care of the perpetrator myself.

This is a book I’ll come back to over and over. The characters are so easy to love, and the world Ford has built is so rich, I know I’ll always find something to hold my attention.
